Hyderabad: In a crackdown on drug use, the Telangana Narcotics Bureau and Excise officials conducted surprise raids on pubs and bars across Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts on Friday night. The joint operation, which took place from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m., involved inspections of 25 establishments.
During the raids, 107 individuals were tested using drug detection kits. Six people tested positive for drug use, with two individuals found positive for cannabis. Additional testing in Rangareddy district revealed three more positive cases.
The operation led to several arrests as the Telangana Narcotics Bureau intensified its efforts against drug-related offenses. The raids underscore the authorities’ commitment to addressing drug abuse and maintaining public safety.
