Vijayawada: Donations are pouring into the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to aid flood-affected areas in Andhra Pradesh. On Friday night, the Association of Secretariat Engineers contributed ₹67,29,398, which was presented to Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan at the camp office. The association’s President B. Yuva Shanmukha, Associate President Sheikh Farooq John, General Secretary B. Shankarao Dora, and other members were present. This donation was collected from Gram Secretariat and Ward Secretariat Engineering Assistants, who contributed one day’s basic salary.
Additionally, Rajanagaram MLA Battula Balaramakrishna and his wife, Mrs. Venkata Lakshmi, donated ₹25 lakhs to the relief fund. They also presented ₹4.82 lakhs, raised from their constituency, to support flood rehabilitation efforts. These donations were also handed over to Mr. Pawan Kalyan.
In another generous contribution, young actor Sri Adi donated ₹3 lakhs directly to Gram Panchayats. He allocated ₹1 lakh to A.K. Mallavaram village (Pithapuram Constituency) and ₹2 lakhs to his hometown Pallamalli Gram Panchayat in Prakasam district. Inspired by Pawan Kalyan’s ₹6 crore donation to flood relief, Sri Adi said, “I was moved to contribute ₹3 lakhs to the panchayats.”
These donations are part of a larger effort to rebuild and rehabilitate the flood-ravaged regions of Andhra Pradesh.
