Pithapuram: The political fervor in Pithapuram reached new heights on Saturday as Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan kickstarted his election campaign with a flourish. Arriving in a special helicopter, Pawan Kalyan was greeted with enthusiasm by supporters and locals alike.
Adding a touch of tradition to the occasion, Vedic scholars from Sri Pada Sri Vallabha Kshetram extended a warm welcome to Pawan Kalyan, performing the sacred ritual of Purna Kumbham, symbolizing auspiciousness and blessings for his campaign journey.
The excitement surrounding Pawan Kalyan’s arrival was palpable as he was greeted at the helipad by Jana Sena candidates T Uday Srinivas, contesting for the Kakinada Parliament seat, and Pantam Nanaji, vying for the Kakinada Rural constituency. Their presence further bolstered the atmosphere as they welcomed Pawan Kalyan with open arms.
Amidst cheers and applause, Pawan Kalyan proceeded to the residence of Pithapuram Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in-charge and former MLA Varma, where discussions on electoral strategies and local issues were expected to take place.
