
Amaravati: Agriculture is the backbone of Andhra Pradesh’s economy, and the government is committed to strengthening the sector, said Agriculture Minister Atchannaidu while presenting the state’s agriculture budget in the Assembly. Saluting farmers, he emphasized that agriculture has been recognized as a primary sector, essential for state and national development.
The minister outlined the government’s long-term vision for Swarnandhra-2047, aligning with Viksit Bharat 2047, to ensure economic stability for farmers. The goal is to transform Andhra Pradesh into a $2.4 trillion economy by 2047, with agriculture playing a key role in driving growth and sustainability.
The budget focuses on strengthening agricultural infrastructure, modernizing farming techniques, and providing support to farmers through welfare schemes. The government aims to increase productivity, ensure fair prices, and improve rural livelihoods to make farming a profitable and sustainable profession.
