Amaravati: Polling for the Graduate MLC election in the joint Krishna-Guntur constituency concluded smoothly, with a record 69.57% voter turnout, surpassing the 59.95% recorded in 2019. The voting process remained peaceful except for minor altercations at certain polling stations.

Prominent candidates Alapati Rajendraprasad (TDP-Janasena-BJP alliance) and sitting MLC KS Lakshmana Rao (PDF) cast their votes at Guntur Polytechnic College. Union Minister of State Dr. Pemmasani Chandrasekhar and State Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar exercised their franchise in Tenali.

A minor scuffle took place between PDF polling agents and Jana Sena leaders at Chalamaiya College, Guntur. Another altercation was reported at Bapatla Municipal School polling center, where TDP agents clashed with a CPM worker. PDF candidate Lakshmana Rao alleged that fraudulent voting occurred in some places, while Alliance candidate Alapati Rajendraprasad expressed confidence in his victory.

Guntur District Collector S. Nagalakshmi, who is the Election Returning Officer, confirmed that polling concluded peacefully and that the votes will be counted on March 3 at Guntur AC College.
