New Delhi: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Floor Leader in Lok Sabha, MP P.V. Midhun Reddy, has raised serious concerns over the inadequate security provided to former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. In a letter addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, he urged immediate intervention to enhance security measues.
Midhun Reddy cited multiple security lapses, including breaches at Jagan Mohan Reddy’s residence and during his recent visit to Guntur Mirchi Market Yard. He accused the state government of deliberately neglecting security arrangements and suggested that these failures could be part of a larger conspiracy to restrict Jagan’s movements.
Despite Z+ category security, Midhun Reddy pointed out a reduction in security personnel and deteriorating bulletproof vehicles, which pose serious risks. He highlighted the lack of police presence in Guntur despite prior intimation, raising public concerns.
The MP warned that such targeted actions by the government create fear and set a dangerous precedent. He urged the Centre to step in and ensure better security for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to maintain public confidence and peace in Andhra Pradesh.
