Tirupati: Reinforcing the Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) commitment to its grassroots workers, party National General Secretary and Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics, Nara Lokesh has decided to meet with party cadre first during every visit to Assembly constituencies. During his visit to Tirupati on Wednesday, Lokesh held discussions with booth-level leaders before attending official programs.
Lokesh emphasized that activists are the backbone of TDP, highlighting that the party’s membership has reached a record one crore. He stated that his primary focus will be on monitoring key initiatives such as Babu Surety-Bhavishyathuku Guarantee, voter verification, party membership drive, and the Mana TDP App.
Addressing the cadre, Lokesh assured them that their concerns would be resolved promptly and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to their welfare. He stressed the importance of coordination between the party and government, adding that TDP was the first in India to introduce a structured cluster, unit, and booth-level system.
He urged activists to stay united and avoid internal conflicts, stressing that TDP’s strength lies in its grassroots support. Later, he held a meeting with Tirupati Municipality corporators, assuring them of government assistance for local development.
