Amaravati: Municipal and Urban Development Minister Ponguru Narayana has directed officials to expedite the approval process for building permits. During a meeting at the CDMA office, Minister Narayana reviewed the current procedures with key officials, including Municipal Commissioner Harinarayanan and IG Seshagiri Babu, alongside representatives from the Town Planning, Revenue, Mines, and Fire Departments.
The Minister emphasized the need for an integrated online system to streamline applications and reduce delays across various departments. He suggested that all necessary technology should be implemented to connect departments such as the Fire and Mines Departments to the DPMS website, ensuring a more efficient approval process.
Additionally, Narayana addressed the issue of irregularities in the issuance of Transfer of Development Rights (TDR) bonds, highlighting past misconduct involving fraudulent survey numbers. He urged officials to enhance the system by integrating land records and ownership documents online to prevent such malpractices.
