Amaravati: Water Resources Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu has accused former minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy of accruing Rs. 600 crore in unauthorized bills for the Avulapalle project. Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Ramanaidu highlighted that the National Green Tribunal (NGT) imposed a Rs. 100 crore fine for constructing the project without environmental permits, showcasing the corruption in Jagan’s government.
Ramanaidu further alleged that 40% of funds for every irrigation project under the YSRCP government have been siphoned off as commissions by what he termed the “Jay Gang.” He criticized the handling of the Polavaram project, claiming only 2% of the work has been completed and that the project has been severely mismanaged. Ramanaidu emphasized that his administration will prioritize the completion of Polavaram.
