Tadepalli: Former minister and Krishna district president Perni Venkatramaiah (Nani) sharply criticized YS Sharmila, accusing her of falling into Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s “trap” by transferring shares of Saraswati Power Company to her mother, YS Vijayamma, allegedly violating court restrictions and complicating YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s legal issues.
Speaking to the media from the YSRCP central office, Nani accused Sharmila of knowingly transferring shares despite legal constraints. He stated that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had no choice but to turn to the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) to safeguard his rights amid these allegations.
Nani emphasized that Jagan’s assets, including Bharathi Cements, Sakshi Media, and Saraswati Power, were all self-acquired through his business ventures. He pointed out that Jagan’s agreement to transfer shares to Sharmila stemmed from his deep familial affection. Drawing a comparison, Nani questioned if Chandrababu Naidu would distribute personal assets similarly, while alleging Naidu had neglected to address increasing crimes against women, instead focusing on stirring controversies within YS Jagan’s family.
Nani concluded that YS Jagan’s love for his family is now being exploited, urging the TDP to address real issues affecting the state.
