Guntur: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Speaker and former MP, Raghurama Krishnam Raju, has identified individuals allegedly involved in assaulting him while in CID custody during the previous YSRCP government. The case, which involves allegations of custodial torture and an attempt on his life, saw a significant development with an identification parade held on Sunday. The process took place in the presence of the District Judge, where Raghurama identified Tulsi Babu as one of the accused.
Speaking to the media after the identification parade, Raghurama said, “I have clearly identified the person who assaulted me during custody. Tulsi Babu has visible support from certain influential individuals. Despite claims that he has no political affiliations, his actions indicate otherwise.”
Raghurama also pointed to the alleged involvement of other officials in the case. He criticized the police for not summoning key suspects, including former GGH superintendent Dr. Prabhavathi and then Collector Vivek Yadav, for questioning. “It’s surprising that the main accused, A1 and A2, have not been interrogated. This selective investigation raises concerns,” he remarked.
The case continues to draw attention as authorities pursue legal proceedings and further inquiries into the allegations.
