Anantapuram: In a recent development, rowdy sheeter Borugadda Anil has been ordered to remain in Anantapur District Jail. A Mobile Court judge issued the order after a hearing related to a case in which Anil was accused of threatening the then Third Town Police Station CI, Murali Krishna, over a church land dispute. The incident had earlier led to the registration of a case against Anil Borugadda.
Initially, Anil was lodged in Rajamahendravaram Central Jail. However, following the adjournment of the case hearing on Tuesday, police brought him to Anantapur on a PT warrant for further proceedings. After reviewing the matter, the Mobile Court judge decided to adjourn the hearing to April 30. Considering the proximity of the next hearing date, the judge directed that Anil be kept in Anantapur District Jail instead of being transferred back to Rajamahendravaram.
The police have taken necessary steps to ensure Anil’s custody at Anantapur until the next court session. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely to prevent any further issues related to the case.
