Undavalli: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed his deep concern over the alleged mismanagement of Tirumala during the YSRCP regime. Speaking from his residence in Undavalli on Sunday, he criticized the YSRCP leaders for turning Tirumala into a “political rehabilitation center” and harming the sanctity of the sacred temple.
Naidu recalled his personal connection with Tirumala, emphasizing that it was Lord Venkateswara who saved him during the Kaimore Mines attack in 2003. He condemned the YSRCP for allegedly defiling the sacred Srivari Laddu by using animal fat in the prasad, which hurt the religious sentiments of millions of devotees.
He also criticized the reverse tendering process introduced by the YSRCP government, claiming it allowed lower-quality ingredients in the production of the iconic laddus. According to Naidu, even VIP tickets were sold indiscriminately, and non-believers were appointed to key positions within the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).
Naidu announced that a Shanti Homa and Panchagavya prokshan rituals would be conducted on Monday morning, following the advice of the TTD Agama Advisory Board, to restore the sanctity of Tirumala after recent controversies.
