
Amaravati: The Southwest Monsoon has officially entered Andhra Pradesh, bringing significant weather changes to parts of Rayalaseema. The state disaster management agency confirmed favorable conditions for the monsoon to spread across the state within the next two to three days. The Meteorological Department predicts that June will see above-normal rainfall, with moderate rains on Monday and heavy rains in isolated areas on Tuesday.
On Monday, light to moderate rains are expected in districts including Srikakulam, Parvathipuram Manyam, Alluri Sitaramaraju, Eluru, Krishna, NTR, Prakasam, Nellore, Kurnool, Nandyala, Anantapur, Kadapa, Sri Satyasai, Annamaiya, Chittoor, and Tirupati. Light rains may occur in Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, Kakinada, Konaseema, East Godavari, West Godavari, Guntur, Bapatla, and Palnadu districts. Notably, on Sunday, East Godavari’s Anaparthi received 53.7 mm of rain, followed by Mummidivaram in Konaseema with 47.7 mm, and Punganur in Chittoor with 33 mm.
