Speaker Ayyanna Patrudu Criticizes YSRCP Members’ Behavior in Assembly

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Ayyanna Patrudu expressed strong discontent over the conduct of YSRCP members during the second day of the budget session. He condemned their inappropriate behavior during the Governor’s speech and directly criticized former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for failing to maintain decorum.

Addressing Jagan, the Speaker remarked, “A former Chief Minister should not forget basic manners. Instead of controlling his party members, he sat and laughed.” He further stated that even senior leader Botsa Satyanarayana, who was present, did not intervene to correct the situation. He warned that such behavior will not be tolerated in the future and urged Jagan to act wisely.

Privilege Notice Against ‘Sakshi’ Media

Speaker Ayyanna Patrudu announced a privilege notice against Sakshi media, referring its controversial articles to the House Rights Committee. This move came after Nandikotkur MLA Jayasurya pointed out that Sakshi falsely reported that ₹5 crore was allocated for Assembly operations. The Speaker assured strict disciplinary action against the media house.
