Vijayawada: In a bid to bolster polytechnic admissions, the Technical Education Commissioner, Chadalavada Nagarani, announced the commencement of comprehensive coaching for the POLYCET 2024 entrance exam starting from April 1. The initiative aims to provide extensive training to students, enhancing their chances of success in the upcoming entrance examination.
Nagarani highlighted that not only students who appeared for the tenth standard exams in the academic year 2023-2024 but also those who cleared the supplementary exams will have the opportunity to benefit from free coaching sessions. Thousands of students have already registered for the program across both Government and Private Polytechnics, with interested individuals encouraged to contact college principals for further information.
Classes, which will be conducted indefinitely until April 25, will be held in 87 government polytechnics and 182 private polytechnics. Each attending student will receive free POLYCET coaching material available in both Telugu and English mediums. The coaching sessions, scheduled from 9 am to 1 pm, will comprise two hours of mathematics, one hour of physics, and another hour of chemistry.
Chairing the State Institute of Technical Education and Training, Nagarani emphasized the importance of alleviating students’ exam apprehensions and boosting their confidence. To this end, a pre-final entrance exam is scheduled for April 25. Meanwhile, the POLYCET entrance exam itself is slated for April 27, with the online application deadline set for April 5.
The initiative not only aims to provide students with the necessary tools and guidance for success but also seeks to increase overall polytechnic admissions, fostering a brighter future for aspiring students across the state.
