Amaravati: Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu credited former Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for uplifting Backward Classes (BCs) in Andhra Pradesh. Speaking at a congratulatory meeting for BC ministers and MLAs on Monday at Sri Venkateswara Vigyan Mandir, Guntur, Rammohan Naidu highlighted the social, economic, and political strides BCs achieved under TDP leadership.

“Sending BCs to Parliament without climbing the steps of Panchayats was made possible by NTR, who laid the foundation for their leadership in the united state. Engineering and medical colleges established during Chandrababu Naidu’s tenure helped BCs excel and settle globally,” he said. He criticized the YSRCP government for neglecting BC representation, stating that no BC minister had significant authority under its regime.

State Agriculture Minister Achchennaidu emphasized TDP’s commitment to empowering BCs politically and economically, stating that Chandrababu revived BC welfare schemes and ensured proportional representation in high-ranking positions. Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy accused Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government of misleading BCs and denying them opportunities for growth.

The leaders reiterated TDP’s vision of making BCs independent of welfare schemes by enabling them to excel in industries and IT sectors.
