Tirupati: Former Chandragiri MLA Nara Rammurthynaidu, the brother of TDP Chief and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, was laid to rest with full honors on Sunday evening. His last rites were performed in his native village, Naravaripalle in Chandragiri mandal, Tirupati district, beside the graves of his parents, Ammannamma and Kharjuranaidu.

Rammurthynaidu passed away in Hyderabad on Saturday. His mortal remains were flown to Renigunta Airport on Sunday morning by Minister Nara Lokesh and taken to Naravaripalle. Chandrababu Naidu, along with his wife Bhuvaneshwari, Lokesh, and Brahmani, paid their final respects by laying wreaths on his brother’s body.

Hundreds of people, including family members, fans, and TDP supporters, gathered to bid an emotional farewell. Chandrababu consoled Rammurthynaidu’s wife Indira and sons Girish and Rohit. His younger son Rohit performed the last rites, as per the family’s consent.

Prominent figures including Maharashtra Governor C. Radhakrishnan, former Union Minister Chinta Mohan, and several former state ministers and MLAs paid their respects. Film personalities such as Manchu Mohan Babu and Rajendra Prasad also participated, highlighting Rammurthynaidu’s wide influence. Chandrababu Naidu is expected to remain in Naravaripalle until Monday evening.
