Last weekend was when the entire country decked up and sparkled like a new bride. It was the weekend of Diwali, the night of light and sparkles. And the night was even more so because of all the divas that dressed up for the occasion. Yes, we are talking about our Bollywood celebs who knew how to “shine bright like a diamond” with some real diamonds on them!
So here a list of the who’s who of the B-town that added the glam to the event:
1. When you talk about fashion, there’s got to be Sonam Kapoor on the list! And she came with her heavily embroidered, black and gold, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosala lehenga with parted hair in a bun. A real sanskari sight!
2. Sonakshi Sinha, who is speedily becoming one of the fashion idols, made her Diwali chic with printed crop top lehenga by Aprita Mehta. The white look wowed us all!
3. Jacqueline Fernandas brought her mom as an added fashion statement, with herself dolled up in a silk saree by Raw Mango complete with gajra in hair.
4. Karishma Kapoor when the simple yet stylish way with Anita Dongre white anarkali with pink accents. She was elegance personified!
5. Bringing yet another beautiful white outfit was Malaika Arora Khan. The yummy mummy looked radiant in the Tarun Tahiliani embroidered piece of art.
6. Another one who went the Arpita Mehta way was Parineeti Chopra who chose white and pastel color scheme, showing off her completely toned midriff.
7. Pretty in pink was Anushka Sharma with her sparkling saree by Manish Malhotra. It certainly signified that the festive season had started.
8. Bold in Black – Bipasha Basu as ever brought in the element of hotness in this ultra sensual black saree by Sabyasachi.
9. Another beauty in black was Taapsee Pannu who looked mesmerising in the lehenga with draped choli by Priyal Prakash and a big maangtika by Tarun Tahiliani.
10. Rounding it off with the best ever outfit for Diwali was Alia Bhatt who shimmied with her co-star Varun Dhawan, as she was clocking in the hours for her shoots. That printed tee and comfy jeans is certainly the way to go when you are having some fun bursting crackers and getting a piggy back ride!
