In the Rajya Sabha elections for 16 seats, in four states, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured approximately 50% seats.
Announced on the late evening of the 10th o June, Friday, the ruling Central Government, the BJP won 8 seats. Furthermore, the Indian National Congress retained three Rajya Sabha seats in Rajasthan and received a major setback in Haryana.
Meanwhile, in Maharashtra, the Shiv Sena’s Mr. Sanjay Raut won one Rajya Sabha seat.

Rajasthan:

The BJP: Mr. Ghanshyam Tiwari
Karnataka:
The BJP: Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman, Mr. Jaggesh, Mr. Lahar Singh Siroya
The INC: Mr. Jairam Ramesh
Haryana:
The BJP: Mr. Krishan Lal Panwar
Independent Candidate: Mr. Kartikeya Sharma (Independent backed by BJP-JJP)
