Hyderabad: The legislative session witnessed intense criticism from Minister Sitakka and the BRS party on Wednesday. They stated that BRS leaders had complained to the Governor, seeking disqualification of MLAs who switched to Congress. Allegations were made that Sabita Indra Reddy, who won under Congress and later joined BRS, was involved in these complaints.
Responding to the accusations, Sabita Indra Reddy questioned why CM Revanth Reddy was targeting her. She reminded everyone that Revanth Reddy was warmly welcomed into Congress by her as an elder sister. “Why is Revanth Reddy against me? I had said Congress would be a ray of hope and blessed him wholeheartedly when he joined the party,” she stated.
CM Revanth Reddy acknowledged Sabita’s initial invitation to the party and mentioned their past personal conversations. He recalled being asked by the Congress party to contest from Malkajigiri in 2019, with Sabita promising support. However, she left Congress and took a ministerial post soon after.
