After being ousted from the Tamil Nadu Assembly, the DMK leaders led by M.K. Stalin staged a protest outside the assembly. Eighty seven party leaders, including Stalin, were evicted from the House after a ruckus ensued. The pandemonium broke out on Wednesday morning when Stalin demanded a debate on the cash for vote scam.

The opposition also raised the issue of alleged horse trading of MLAs in the AIADMK. This trading occurred ahead of the trust vote sought by CM K. Palaniswami on February 18. Stalin said, “I tried to raise the cash issue in assembly, but the speaker didn’t allow. This TN govt headed by Edappadi K. Palaniswami should be dissolved.”

Stalin and the DMK leaders protested with the ‘MLAsForSale’ placards in the House. P. Dhanpal, the Speaker of the Assembly said the issue was sub judice and should not be discussed. For this reason, he ordered the eviction of the DMK MLAs including their leader.

Dhanpal also mentioned the issue of sub judice, in which DMK challenged the trust vote by Palaniswami, was still pending in the Madras High Court. Despite this, the DMK leaders stood their ground and staged a protest.
