Delhi: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Parliamentary Leader Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu has urged the central government to address several pressing issues concerning Andhra Pradesh in the ongoing Parliament winter session. Speaking to the media after attending an all-party meeting in Delhi on Sunday, he highlighted critical topics requiring immediate attention.

Devarayalu pointed out the resumption of the Polavaram Project works and demanded a discussion in Parliament to clarify the delays and challenges faced. He also emphasized the need to address pending promises under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, such as the establishment of key institutions, the oil refinery, and Kadapa Steel Plant.

The TDP leader further raised concerns about urban flooding, particularly in Vijayawada, and called for a discussion on preventive measures and effective utilization of allocated funds. Highlighting the importance of river interlinking, he stressed the urgency of linking the Godavari and Penna rivers, which could irrigate 10 lakh acres.

He also urged the government to take action against inappropriate social media posts and proposed legislation to support Indian citizens facing challenges abroad, especially migrant workers.
