Adilabad: As many as 16 people killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a seven-seater auto in Telangans’s Adilabad district on Sunday. 13 people were killed on the spot which included seven children and the autorickshaw driver. Three died on the way to the hospital and two sustained injuries.
“The deceased include five women, four boys and three girls,” PTI quoted Bhainsa Rural police station Circle Inspector Vinod Reddy as saying. The victims were headed to a temple when the mishap occurred. The children were aged between one and 12, and eight of the deceased were from one family.
The police said the autorickshaw with 18 people on board was crushed under the truck.
