Nalgonda: At least 18 passengers died and 15 injured when a RTC bus collided with a lorry at Ramannapeta in Nalgonda district of Telangana on Wednesday. The injured were rushed to the district hospital and the critical condition travelers were soon shifted to Hyderabad.
Condition of few passengers is critical and the death count may increase. The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.
The lorry coming from Chityala has crashed the RTC bus which was en route from Bhuvanagiri to Nalgonda. As the truck hit the bus powerfully it rolled after the road.
Police have reached the spot and started rescue operations. RTC officials who also got to know the news have arrived at the place. Local political leaders have also reached the accident spot.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao expressed his grief over the incident.
