22 dead in Godavari Pushkaram, AP CM Naidu and PM Modi condoles the deceased

As many as 22 Devotees died while many others were injured at the Godavari Pushkaralu at Rajamundry, Andhra Pradesh today. The exact number of the death devotees is still under count.

Soon after this incident the police took charge and the bodies of the victims mostly women were shifted to the Rajamundry hospital.
The Andhra Chief Minister is dotted at the pilgrimage, taking measures to create comfort zones.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his condolence and gratitude to the injured devotees by his twitter post.
The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has condoled the lose of lives due to stampede at Rajahmundry. The Prime Minister discussed the situation with Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu.

I spoke to CM N. Chandrababu Naidu and discussed the situation with him. The State Government is working to restore normalcy”, the Prime Minister said.

This is the first Puskhkaralu after the bifurcation. Pushkaralu is an Indian festival dedicated to worshipping of rivers.
