Vijayawada: Bopparaju Venkateshwarlu, State President of the Andhra Pradesh Revenue Employees Association, has expressed his support for the government’s decision to halt the registration of pre-hold lands, citing it as a positive step. Speaking at a media conference in Vijayawada, Bopparaju emphasized that any actions taken regarding these registrations should focus on rooting out corruption, as the decisions were originally made under the previous government’s orders.
Bopparaju also highlighted the upcoming revenue conferences organized by the state government, stating that the association is fully prepared to ensure their success. He urged the government to announce the 12th Pay Revision Commission (PRC) soon.
Addressing concerns over the safety of ancient records, Bopparaju called for the creation of a record assistant post in every office to ensure the preservation of important documents. He also pointed out that many Tehsildar offices are lacking watchman positions, which further jeopardizes the security of these records. Referring to the recent Madanapalle records burning case, Bopparaju noted that no one has been found guilty yet, leaving revenue employees feeling anxious. He urged the public not to form negative opinions about revenue staff and assured that the association would take a stand after the CID investigation is completed.
