To celebrate 70 years of Indo-U.S. relations, the Hyderabad Metro Rail in collaboration with the U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad inaugurated an art exhibition. The exhibition held at the Ameerpet Metro Station features artwork from local students on the topic of U.S. India relations.

Managing Director of Hyderabad Metro Rail N.V.S. Reddy and Consul General Katherine Hadda inaugurated the exhibition today. Consul General Hadda said, “The artwork that these children have contributed to this exhibit is refreshing, optimistic, and beautiful.”

She further added, “It was so wonderful to see, through the art, the excitement that the next generation have for the U.S. India relationship and I’m glad that thousands of people who commute through this station over the coming weeks will also see this vision for the future of our relations.”

The artwork illustrated the student’s idea of India and U.S. relations. Around 50 of the best art pieces were selected from four different schools in Hyderabad to display at the exhibition. The four schools that participated were International School of Hyderabad in Patancheru, St. John’s High School in Warasiguda, Sri Saraswathi High School in Namalgundu and David Memorial High School in Tarnaka.

The art exhibition will be open at the Ameerpet Metro Station for two weeks until the 14th of February.
