Rajasthan Bypolls: Counting Of Votes Have Started

Today, the counting of votes for the Rajasthan bypolls that were held on Monday, started at 8 A.M. A Poll Official said the Congress was leading in Ajmer and Alwar the first round of counting with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leading in Mandalgarh. In Alwar, Karan Singh Yadav of the Congress is contesting against Jaswant Singh Yadav of the BJP. In Ajmer, Raghu Sharma of the Congress is contesting against BJP’s Ram Swaroop Lamba. The main rivals for Mandalgarh are Shakti Singh Hada from the BJP and Congress’s Vivek Dhakad.

In Ajmer, Raghu Sharma lead the initial round with 8,648 votes. In Pushkar and Dudu, Congress is leading with 1,500 votes. In North Ajmer, the Congress lead the initial round with 3,000 votes. A Poll Official said Karan Singh is leading with 10,000 votes in Alwar.

The counting for the Mandalgarh assembly seat is being held in Bhilwara while the counting for Alwar and Ajmer are being done in the respective constituencies.
