The Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) will be open to the public from Miyapur to Nagole soon. The 30 km stretch will be inaugurated in three weeks and the officials have put out a list of dos and donts.
The Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited has released a number of rules for the train. One of them being no pets allowed on the metro rail train.
One of the instructions have stated, “When there is an emergency announcement, evacuate the Metro Rail premises. And do mind the gap between the platform and the metro train while boarding and disembarking the train.”
Another important rule is ticketless travel which will be a punishable offense. It also states people will not be allowed to linger around the station after a trip.
In September, Telangana Municipal Administration Minister K.T. Rama Rao informed the 30 km HMR stretch would be ready by the 20th of November. The Minister also stated he hopes PM Modi would come to inaugurate it on 28th November.
KTR was quoted saying, “The inaugural ceremony will take place at Miyapur Metro depot and the PM may take a ride from Miyapur to Ameerpet. The state government is keen that PM Modi inaugurates the Metro rail project. Not only because the Hyderabad Metro is the biggest Public Private Partnership (PPP) in the world, but also due to the fact that it’s being executed by Larsen & Toubro, an Indian multi-national company. The Prime Minister’s Office has not yet given a confirmation on the inauguration date. If it is not possible on November 28, the TRS government will wait for another date for Modi to come and inaugurate.”
