Anupama Residency caught fire in Shamshabad on Wednesday morning. Fire Safety personnel hurried to the spot and rescued 30 people from the burning building.
Officials have reported that the fire started in a dispensary that is on the ground floor of the seven storied building. The top five floors are part of the Anupama Lodge while the ground floor was being used as a dispensary.
Jagan Mohan, State Fire Officer from Ranga Reddy District said, “We were alerted at around 5:30 A.M., on Wednesday and reached the spot by 5:40 A.M. Close to 30 persons were already on the terrace and were waiting to be rescued. We used ladders to bring them down”
The officials at the site informed that the fire fighters were sent immediately to take care of the situation. The fire tenders managed to control and put the fire out within a few hours at 9 A.M.
The District Fire Authorities are still unaware of the cause that started the fire. Fortunately, all the people rescued from the fire were unharmed and required no medical assistance. Senior fire authorities have been put in charge to investigate and find the cause of the fire.
