The Kakinada Municipal Corporation elections are being held today. The voting started at 7 A.M., and will end at 5 P.M.
The state election commission has carried out all required arrangements to proceed with the elections. The commission set up 192 polling station and 35 of them are considered hyper sensitive.
The commission is expecting 2.80 lakh people to cast their votes today. To protect the 35 hyper sensitive polling stations security arrangements have been intensified to ensure that nothing goes wrong.
The results will be released on the 1st of September. It has been 12 years since the last election for Kakinada Municipal Corporation was held.
Once the State Election Commission issued a notification regarding the KMC elections, TDP, BJP, YSRCP and Congress declared their candidates.
