A second class student’s body was found inside the toilet of Ryan International School in Gurgaon. On Friday morning, the child’s body was found with his throat slit. The victim has been identified as Pradhuman Thakur, a seven year old boy.
The police managed to find the murder weapon, a knife, at the scene of the crime.
Varun Thakur, the father of Pradhuman said, “It is a clear case of murder, don’t know what happened but I am sure its murder.”
The parents of the school were angry and damaged parts of the building.
Ravinder Kumar from Gurgaon police reported, “The students alerted the teachers and the school management then informed the police, who rushed him to Artemis Hospital. He was declared brought dead by doctors.”
A police team along with forensic experts were sent to the scene to collect blood samples and fingerprints.
The officer further added, “We are investigating the case from all angles … of homicide, enmity and others. The police team is examining the CCTV footage from over 30 cameras installed on the school premises.”
The boy’s body has been taken for post mortem by the police after investigating the scene. The boy’s father blames the school for negligence and even said the school initially did not inform him about the incident.
Varun said, “They told me his health deteriorated suddenly. They did not take care of my son. He could have been saved if he had been taken to hospital in time.”
Hundreds of parents and locals protested around the school against the school management. The Gurgaon police were immediately sent to the school to handle the rioting.
