TDP MP JC Diwakar Reddy has made satirical comments on Jana Sena Party founder Pawan Kalyan, asking him to lead them against NDA government demanding special status for AP.
He said that the MPs have done everything they can – held banners in the House lounge, and blocked the sessions. ‘If he still feels what we’ve done is not enough, let Pawan set an example doing something (regarding special status), then we’ll follow him,” added Reddy.
JC Diwakar’s jibe at PK came after Union Minister of State for Finance, Rao Indrajit Singh announced that none of the states will be given Special Category Status. Although, AP government has been wailing about its negative budget, Modi government has clearly mentioned its stand in Parliament.
Diwakar Reddy further added that even CM Chandrababu Naidu knew that AP will never get Special Status, yet they fought for it only because of Pawan Kalyan creating a row over it.
Earlier in June, Pawan Kalyan had severely criticized Seemandhra MPs for not demanding Special Category Status from Modi government. He bluntly questioned if TDP MPs spend their time in Parliament looking at the walls of the House.
With government putting its foot down over the issue, it needs to be seen what will be the next move of TDP government, and also that of Pawan Kalyan.
