
New Delhi: Due to the recent heavy rains and floods in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, many regions have been severely affected, with several areas submerged under water. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan toured the flood-hit regions in both states to assess the damage caused by the deluge.
Following his visit, Chouhan prepared a preliminary report on the flood situation, which was presented by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on Wednesday. The report outlines the extent of the damage and the immediate requirements for relief and recovery efforts in the affected areas.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan also shared the update on social media platform X, where he confirmed that central teams will soon visit the flood-hit regions to conduct a detailed inspection. He added that financial assistance from the central government is expected to be provided soon to aid in the rehabilitation process.
The central government’s involvement is seen as crucial to speeding up relief operations and ensuring timely support to those affected by the floods.
