Nellore: YSRCP leaders have strongly condemned Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s allegations of irregularities in the preparation of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Laddu, calling it a political conspiracy. Former Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy stated that these accusations are baseless and part of a strategy to divert attention from the government’s failures.
Speaking to the media in Nellore, Kakani stressed that the ghee used in preparing the sacred Laddu undergoes rigorous testing, citing that four tankers of substandard ghee were returned in July. He challenged Chandrababu to provide proof for his claims that this ghee was used in the prasadam. Kakani also mocked Pawan Kalyan, questioning whether his fasting was penance for supporting Chandrababu.
In a separate press conference in Tadepalli, former MLA Gadikota Srikanth Reddy criticized Chandrababu for exploiting devotees’ sentiments for political gain. He highlighted the strict procurement and quality control processes followed by TTD and recalled similar unfounded accusations made by Chandrababu against former CM Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.
Both leaders demanded a thorough inquiry to reveal the truth behind these allegations, warning that any wrongdoing concerning the Lord’s prasadam would not go unpunished.
