Well, if you’re the lucky one who is fortunate to have earned an invite to purchase the OnePlus 2 in India, remember that the smartphone goes on sale today at 4pm IST.
This time around, there is a huge expectation from OnePlus, as the earlier smartphone OnePlus One was one of the best sellers last year. Even the specifications look super powerful on paper as the 2015 flagship killer packs a 4GB RAM, 64GB internal memory and incorporating Qualcomm Snapdragon 810.
OnePlus 2 will go on sale exclusively via Amazon.in, and is priced at Rs. 24,999 for the 64GB variant and Rs. 22,999 for the 16GB variant.
The OnePlus 2 features a 5.5-inch LCD screen carrying a 1080 x 1920 resolution display. That works out to a pixel density of 401ppi. A Snapdragon 810 SoC is under the hood, with an octa-core 1.8GHz CPU and the Adreno 430 GPU. A 13MP camera with OIS is on back and a 5MP snapper is found on front. A 3300mAh battery keeps the generator humming, and Oxygen OS (based on Android 5.0) is pre-installed.
Though the launch of OnePlus in India is right on time, the company is facing trouble in its global launch, as it has reportedly delayed shipments to North America citing “production schedules”. Similar is the situation in US and Canada. The users can book the device on Tuesday but then the shipments will happen after 2-3 weeks after Europe.
The company however, issued an apology and said “We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused. Although some fans may be disappointed to hear this news, we would rather be transparent about the situation.”
