Amaravati: The government has decided to extend the five-day workweek for employees working in corporations and government organizations within the state capital region for another year. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu approved the decision, signing the file, and the General Administration Department has issued orders to this effect.

According to the orders, issued by Chief Secretary Nirab Kumar Prasad, employees are required to perform their duties from 10 am to 5.30 pm. These new working hours are effective immediately.

The decision aims to enhance employee productivity and well-being by providing a balanced work schedule. Extending the five-day workweek reflects the government’s commitment to creating a conducive working environment for its staff.
