Kakinada: Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar clarified that he holds no political grudge against former minister and YSRCP leader Perni Nani, dismissing claims of conspiracies by the coalition government. Addressing the media, he raised several questions about alleged irregularities involving ration rice and warehouse leases.
Manohar questioned why a penalty was paid if no wrongdoing occurred, and why the warehouse lease was issued in the name of Nani’s wife instead of his own. He further alleged that systems were misused under the previous government, with decisions taken for personal gain rather than public welfare.
Highlighting recent inspections of warehouses statewide, Manohar revealed that on November 27, Jayasudha admitted mistakes and paid ₹1.70 crore for 378 metric tons of missing ration rice. He noted that Nani failed to respond to subsequent notices and demanded accountability for the missing rice.
Manohar emphasized that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan are not personally targeting anyone, focusing instead on systemic reforms.
In a compassionate gesture, Ministers Nadendla Manohar, Kandula Durgesh, MP Uday Srinivas, and MLA Bathula Balaramakrishna handed over ₹5 lakh each to the families of 21 Janasena workers who lost their lives in the united East Godavari district.
