Amaravati: The coalition government has mandated that all files and government orders (GOs) from August 15, 2021, to August 28, 2024, be made publicly accessible on the GOIR website, with completion expected within two months. This directive aims to unveil information kept private during the previous YSRCP administration.
General Administration Department Secretary (Political) S. Suresh Kumar issued the official order on Monday. Currently, GOs dating from February 2008 onward are accessible online, except those from the specified three-year YSRCP tenure. The government emphasized that the public availability of these documents will improve transparency, provide clarity, and serve as a useful resource for officials and the general public. Additionally, this move is expected to reduce the number of applications under the Right to Information Act (RTI), as relevant information will be directly available for reference across all Secretariat departments.
