Amaravati: TDP State President Achchennaidu launched a scathing attack on former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, accusing him of being responsible for the current electricity crisis in Andhra Pradesh. Achchennaidu alleged that Jagan’s mismanagement during his tenure has left the state’s power sector in disarray and burdened the people with exorbitant electricity charges.
He criticized Jagan for introducing “true-up charges” and increasing electricity tariffs, calling it a deliberate act to benefit from commissions. “Although electricity was available at Rs. 5 per unit, Jagan’s government chose to purchase it at Rs. 8 per unit for personal gains,” Achchennaidu alleged.
The TDP leader also condemned the protests and rallies organized by the YSRCP, calling them a sham to distract from their failures. “It’s a shame to impose financial burdens on the people while pretending to stand up for their rights,” he remarked.
Achchennaidu concluded by stating that the consequences of Jagan’s governance have become a curse for the state, leaving the public to bear the brunt of his policies.
