Amaravati: Nara Lokesh, Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics, is focused on transforming Andhra Pradesh into a prime investment and job creation hub. During a meeting with Foxconn representatives at his Undavalli residence, Lokesh emphasized the state’s resources and previous efforts to attract major investors, highlighting successes like the Kia Motors project.
Lokesh urged Foxconn to establish a mega manufacturing city in Andhra Pradesh, promising full government support. He outlined plans for a new electronic policy aimed at creating 2 million jobs, aligning with the state’s goal to boost employment.
Foxconn’s Indian representative, V Lee, praised the efforts of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and expressed interest in expanding their operations in Andhra Pradesh, including setting up units for electric vehicles and semiconductors. The delegation agreed in principle to invest in the state, marking a significant step toward achieving Lokesh’s job creation targets.
