Hyderabad: Union Minister Bandi Sanjay has slammed Congress leaders, asserting that they lack the moral right to speak about Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Speaking informally with the media, Sanjay criticized the Congress for neglecting Ambedkar’s legacy and accused them of political opportunism.

“The Ambedkar statue at NTR Marg has been locked, and access to the rooms showcasing Ambedkar’s history is restricted. Revanth Reddy, as Chief Minister, hasn’t visited the statue even once,” Sanjay alleged. He further claimed that the statue’s construction was completed under BJP pressure during the previous government.

Sanjay urged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to visit the Panch Teerthas associated with Ambedkar, emphasizing their cultural and historical significance. He also expressed doubts about the intentions behind the recent Allu Arjun controversy, suggesting political motives.

Addressing concerns about Telangana’s film industry, Sanjay warned that Congress leaders’ comments encouraging the industry to move to Andhra Pradesh could harm Telangana’s economy. He advised Congress ministers and leaders to act responsibly and avoid reckless statements.

The minister’s remarks come amid escalating political tensions, highlighting BJP’s efforts to position itself as a defender of Ambedkar’s legacy.
