Visakhapatnam: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Women’s Wing State President, Varudu Kalyani, has strongly criticized Home Minister Vangalapudi Anita for making false accusations against former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy regarding the Tirumala laddu controversy. Speaking to the media in Visakhapatnam on Saturday, Kalyani condemned Anita’s remarks, warning that such lies will not stand the test of time and accountability is inevitable.
Kalyani accused Anita of forgetting her responsibilities as Home Minister and making disgraceful, baseless accusations against YS Jagan. She emphasized that “lies cannot continue indefinitely, and the truth will prevail, holding those responsible accountable.”
Drawing comparisons to Chandrababu Naidu, who previously made similar unfounded claims about the Tirumala laddus, Kalyani noted that despite evidence disproving the allegations, both Naidu and Anita continue to mislead the public. She challenged Naidu to initiate an investigation if he is confident about the accusations, asserting that these falsehoods are a desperate attempt to distract from more pressing issues.
Kalyani also criticized the government for blocking YSRCP leaders from attending YS Jagan’s scheduled visit to Tirupati while allowing BJP workers from other states to gather in the area. She expressed disappointment in the Home Minister’s failure to act against this political bias.
In a sharp remark about PCC President Sharmila, Kalyani claimed that Sharmila was merely following a script written by Chandrababu Naidu and lacked original ideas or intentions. Kalyani emphasized that such theatrics would not deter the YSRCP from its mission to serve the people of Andhra Pradesh.
