Vijayawada: National Space Day 2024 was celebrated in Vijayawada, with MP Kesineni Sivanath (Kesineni Chinni) praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s invaluable contributions to India’s space research. The event, organized by the State Water Resources Department alongside the Hydrology Water Resources Department, was held at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram on Monday.
As the chief guest, MP Chinni inaugurated the celebrations by lighting the ceremonial lamp and opening student and college stalls that showcased innovations using space technology. He emphasized the growing influence of space technology in everyday life, highlighting the historic achievement of ISRO’s Vikram Lander and Pragyan Rover, which successfully landed on the Moon’s South Pole on August 23, 2023.
The event also featured discussions on integrating space technology with water resources management, underscoring its potential in conserving natural resources.
