Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President YS Sharmila has strongly criticized the alleged agreement between Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and business tycoon Adani, accusing him of corruption both within the state and on the international stage. Sharmila questioned the CM’s actions, calling it “history” for Jagan to have donated Rs. 1,750 crore to Adani, labeling it as a misleading deal.

In her statement, YS Sharmila demanded that Jagan answer questions surrounding the electricity agreement with Adani. She pointed out that while the unit price in Gujarat was Rs. 1.99, Jagan paid Rs. 2.49 per unit in Andhra Pradesh, claiming that this extra cost burdened the people of the state. She criticized the lack of transparency in the deal, questioning why other states had avoided agreements with Adani.

Sharmila also took aim at Jagan’s management of the state, highlighting the alleged lack of public opinion in major decisions, such as the cancellation of tenders for Adani and signing agreements without proper scrutiny. She claimed that Jagan’s actions had caused an economic burden of Rs. 1.67 lakh crore on the people of Andhra Pradesh, branding him as corrupt.

Further, she referenced international investigations, including American agencies, which allegedly linked Jagan to corruption, particularly in the sale of the Gangavaram Port for Rs. 640 crores. Sharmila called on Jagan to address these challenges openly.
