Muzaffarnagar: An 18-year-old girl was poisoned to death when she resisted an attempt to rape in Tewda village, police said on Wednesday.
According to police, “the accused identified as Sajid Khan allegedly tried to rape the girl and poisoned her when she opposed the act on Tuesday.”
The victim’s uncle has filed a complaint against the accused and police have started a search operation against him. Further details are awaited.
