Bengaluru: To make this Christmas season even more spiritually special, Jesus Christ statue of 50-feet has been installed by Fun World in J C Nagar. This is first of its kind in India.
With 50-feet high and 32-feet wide statue is ready to add attraction at the Fun World known activity and amusement park for youth and children.
Artist of the statue, Sunny Sabharwal said that the management of Fun World spent Rs45 lakh for this statue. “Around 30 artists have worked for four months to install this statue. It will be here till January 26 and later shifted to Kerala,” said Sabharwal.
Artists led by Vinod Kumar Sabharwal completed the work despite shortage of manpower (artists) due to floods in Chennai.
“There will be no extra fee for visitors. They can click selfies near the statue which has a circle area of 26 feet. We have used 18 tonnes of steel for this statue,” Sabharwal said.
“The statue of Christ the Redeemer is associated with Brazil. We have installed Taj Mahal at an exhibition in Hassan for two months. After shifting the statue of Christ the Redeemer to Kerala, we plan to install one more statue but the concept of the statue it yet to be decided,” he said.
