Another Indian was killed in the Wahington State of the United States of America. The 26 year old, identified as Vikram Jayral was shot dead by two masked robbers at a gas station. The Ministry of External Affairs, India has taken note of this incident.

Jayral was an employee at the gas station in Yakima city of Wahington. Before being killed, the store was robbed by two burglars in masks on Thursday. The police had informed media, despite Jayral handing over the money from the counter one of the robbers shot him. Jayral was rushed to the hospital but died because of injuries.

Sushma Swaraj, the External Affairs Minister condoled the ‘tragic death.’ She tweeted, “Our consulate is helping the family. Cops are examining the CCTV footage. The investigation into the matter is underway.” The minister also said that this incident was brought to her notice by the victim’s brother through twitter. Victim’s brother approached the minister seeking help to bring the body back to India.

The police, speaking to network TV NBC, said, “The victim was able to tell officers what happened when they arrived a few minutes later. But tragically, he died a short while later at the hospital.” The youngster was from Hoshiarpur in Punjab and has been in the US for a month.
