Arnab Goswami Quits Times Now, to Turn Enterpreneur

One name that is synonymous with debate and digression is that of Arnab Goswami. The man has been on Times Now ‘The News Hour’ every day at 9 P.M., dishing out his opinion on everything under the Sun. But sources have now confirmed that the fiery presenter will be leaving his post of Editor in Chief for Times Now and ET Now.
Goswami had been in the thick of some real controversies, right from not giving even the commercials a breather on his show to criticizing team India on their win. Goes without saying that he garnered much aspersion as appreciation.

The reports say that the reason for his calling quits is that he wants to follow a different direction with his career. Arnab is planning to enter the field of entrepreneurship in the media domain after saying sayonara to anchoring. The audience definitely missed him from his usual relentless discourse at various topics from The News Hour the last couple of days, but after Times Now’s tweet, today seems to be his last run at the show.

Arnab has had a long and livid relationship of 10 years with Times Now up until now. He started off his career in journalism with the Telegraph in Kolkata where the stint lasted for a year. After that, he joined NDTV in 1995 from where finally in 2006 he joined Times Now, with the aim and ambition to make it the Fox TV of India, aiming at the populist opinion and not those of the popular.

Although the maniacal master of argument that he was, we are sure that he will be sorely missed from the show – that is until he will be seen again in his own venture, mostly probably channeling his characteristic heated self again.
